Diet against depression

 Diet is recommended to enhance the mood and stabilize the emotional background. The duration of the diet is from 3 to 7 days. Although diet does not solve the fundamental problems that led to depression, but the organization of proper nutrition contributes to mood elevation. To do this, the diet includes foods that contribute to the development of pleasure hormone (serotonin), containing vitamins B, E, antidepressant agents (folic acid, selenium, tryptophan).  

Recommended products: meat, chicken, turkey, beef liver, fish (tuna, trout, mackerel, sardines), seafood; eggs; fresh milk and milk products, cheese; vegetables (carrots, bell peppers, green onions, tomatoes, peas, celery, asparagus, squash); fruits (bananas, citrus fruits, kiwi) and berries (black currant, cranberry); legumes (beans, lentils); wheat bran, nuts; spices (rosemary, tarragon, basil, Regan); dark chocolate; extracts of herbs (St. John's wort, mint, oregano).

During the dietmust not drink alcoholic beverages, bread, sodas, any food with fat.

Estimated daily menu

Breakfast: boiled egg, bread with cheese and parsley leaf, sweet tea with chocolate (30 g).
2nd breakfast: fruit salad of kiwi and tangerine with yogurt, sprinkle with grated nuts.

Lunch: turkey stewed with vegetables in sour cream, salad of tomatoes and cucumbers with feta cheese and olive oil, bananas and whipped cream.

Snack: mint tea (cup) with black currant jam.

Dinner: trout, baked with cheese, salad with beans and asparagus, hot chocolate.

At night: the infusion of St. John's wort (glass).
