 Percale (fr. Percale) - high-strength cotton non-woven fabric. In Russian, the word refers to the feminine, however, in the context of aircraft use it more often used in men. Made of medium percale (№№ 36-60) and thin (№№ 60-100) numbers paper strands; in the second case it is also called a paper Batista. Tissue density - 3500-6500 strands per meter; release it in unfinished form, but the solution is caused when sizing is removed.

Percale in the first half of the XX century used as a cladding material for the wings and fuselage of aircraft tail elements and other surfaces. Today, this fabric, depending on the thickness, used for sewing sails and parachutes, manufacturing ladies' blouses and dresses, bed linen (do not miss any fluff or feathers).
