 Folk costumes - a household suit, which reflects the characteristics and specificity of the culture and way of life of a particular ethnic group. Rooted in ancient times, people's clothes there and in later historical periods. In Europe, it was extended until the beginning of XX century, and in many countries in Africa, Asia and South America is used in everyday life to date. Despite the variety of forms in national clothes from different countries can highlight individual elements in common. For example, in some mountain areas of Europe (Scotland, Ireland and Albania) part of the male costume is a short full skirt. A major part of women's clothing in most European countries have different cut white shirt with long or short sleeves and bodice, lace bodice. In France and the Netherlands was common wooden shoes, and in Italy and Portugal - leather shoes with wooden soles. Today folk costumes is still relevant. It draws inspiration from many famous designers, creating entire collections based on folk motives.
