 Glengarry - one of the hats worn with Highland dress. The invention is attributed to the head of Glengarry Clan MacDonell of Glengarry, Alexander McDonell Reneldsonu. In the XIX century Glengarry because of its usability and became widespread in the British army and becomes part of the form pipers Scottish regiments. Later this headdress, ceased to be exclusively a part of military uniforms, became a member of the Scottish costume.

Glengarry sewn from thick coat of dark shades and designed to resemble the cap or hat with cake. Bottom headdress finished with a narrow black silk ribbon. In some cases, Glengarry sheathed with a wide strip of fabric with a pattern of red, white and black cells. On the back of the headdress freely hang two short black tape.
